It hurts just to read this story. The whole setup is just so cold, cruel and inhumane. It takes great strength to react the way you did and be the bigger person.

Yes, I remember that one. From the Sep. 1st, 1987 WT. The article in question is here:
https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1987641#h=9:75-9:499
âOne night we were called to help a sick woman troubled by a spirit. The leader of the groupââthe medium of a stronger spiritââtried to chase the spirit away. For a whole day we pleaded for his spiritâs help. We danced and played the drums, and gradually the woman improved. He ordered her spirit out, and this worked. âWe gained the victory,â beamed the leader. Then we sat down and relaxed.â
Izaakâs gesticulating arms rest for a moment while he pauses meaningfully. Then he continues: âFor a while all looked well, but then a scream broke the silence. We rushed to the house where it came from and saw the leaderâs wife. She was crying hysterically. Inside the house, we found her little daughterââher head facing backward! Some force had wrung and broken her neck, killing her like a chickenââapparently, the revenge of that ousted spirit. Sickening! Those spirits are sadistic murderers.â

Facial Hair
by new boy insince i have been out for seventeen years what is the currant society policy concerning beards and mustaches.. in the sixties and seventies facial hair was forbidden at bethel if you white.
if you were black you could have mustache but no beards.
so obviously you could not be elder or pioneer if you had a beard.. any updates?

It was a big deal at the time. It was the dedication of the new Warwick complex. For the very first time, Kingdom Halls across the world were simultaneously tied to a Bethel broadcast.
Okay you're talking about 3 different events, all 2 years apart. The first time all halls were tied in was in 2013 to release the new Bible. The time he talked about tight pants was in 2015 at the local needs for the US Branch Visit. The Warwick dedication was in 2017.

Is Child Abuse An Issue That You Personally Have Seen In The Organization?
by minimus inas an elder, i saw one child abuse situation involving a man who wanted to be an elder and had i believe 8 children.
he was not in our congregation when this all erupted.
he denied it and moved to another hall and unbelievably, that body of elders wanted to appoint him since they believed his entire family was lying about him.

Yes, an Elder in my congregation was accused by his daughter but only one witness, so a report was privately sent to Bethel but that's it. He 'served' until death. Another Elder who was also annointed as well as a shareholder of the WTB&TS of PA and regularly went to the annual business meeting was also accused but only by one witness. He 'served' until death. Looking back on the latter I can definitely see signs of it in photos and memories, but I was young myself at the time and never noticed. In hindsight there are also others that I don't know if they've been accused or not but I'd be wary of.

If you go down that route then you could just keep on adding letters like they do with LGBTQPOWMIA. What you are is between POMI and POMO, nothing is immediate. Just because you are spiritual doesn't mean you're 'in' per say. I'm a Christian, but as far as JW's I'm fully PIMO. However if you're still clinging to theology that's uniquely JW, then they still have a hold on you. I recommend you read articles on JW Facts about the earthly resurrection, the last days, door to door preaching, false prophecy etc. You will see that all these are thoroughly debunked and maybe you can finally move on mentally and spiritually.

Is the blood doctrine idolatrous?
by Fred Franztone ini'm not a god-fearing individual, but when i was still a believer, many suns ago, it occurred to me that the blood doctrine had an idolatrous foundation; it was one of the initial anti-wt thoughts in my mind that eventually led to me leaving the religion and ultimately (and somewhat ironically) to atheism.. the bible says that one should 'abstain from blood', and putting aside whether this is a mistranslation of bloodshed (which i've never bought), the wt are quite picky about which commandments they follow; they don't observe the sabbath, and they've even provided justifications for lying, so why the preoccupation with the blood commandment?
and why is it so serious a matter that it's a disfellowship-worthy offence?
the justification i was always given by elders was that blood is sacred, it's a symbol of life, and whilst the commandment to abstain from blood clearly meant that one shouldn't eat it, it's not unreasonable on the surface to extrapolate it to include transfusions (although some would disagree).. the problem with this reasoning of course is that by abstaining from blood transfusions, death from massive blood-loss is a possibility, unlike with abstaining from eating it.

Excellent point, they're putting the symbol above the reality. It's also worth noting that blood from a live person isn't really the same principle anyway, that's their fundamental misunderstanding. When they killed or took a life of an animal, they were supposed to 'give it back' by pouring it out on the ground. The blood of a live donor doesn't need to be 'given back'.

"Blood Guilty"
by new boy inguilt is such a wonderful tool used by the jehovahâs witnesses.
one of the terms they love to use is the term âblood guilty.â they have actually used this term to guilt their members into doing more and more âhouse to house activityâ yes, they have said on numerous occasions at their kingdom halls and other major gathering that a person âcould be blood guiltyâ for not going out in the field service activity enough.
the reason is simple.

Who is blood guilty for any who died from refusing vaccines, organ transplants and blood fractions over the decades before they became allowed?
